You may be feeling stuck or struggling with a life transition. Perhaps you are feeling sad or anxious about a situation and want a way to “get past it”. Life has so many struggles and not everyone may understand your situation or your needs. I offer a safe, judgment free and compassionate environment to address your emotional needs. Part of individual therapy is discovering what you want, and the barriers that might be preventing you from achieving your goals. Everyone has challenging times, the benefit of therapy is having someone available to support you through it. I can be that guide for you and help you discover effective ways to handle painful thoughts and feelings that have stopped you from getting what you want. Together we will explore a deeper part of yourself, increase your insight and awareness so you can come to your own conclusions, and commit to taking action to create a rich and meaningful life.
Therapeutic modalities are determined based on every person’s unique needs. I use psychodynamic theories to assist the person in understanding how their past impacts their present. I also use cognitive-behavioral theory, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and mind/body awareness.
I feel very strongly about the correlation between mental health and physical health. We often tend to focus on taking care of our physical needs before our emotional needs. I believe your mental health is just as important as your physical health. The effects of untreated mental health can ultimately affect your physical health (and vis versa). Today is a new beginning, I invite you to contact me to determine if I am the right fit for you towards your journey of healing.
